Honoring Sensei Joe Roberts USMC Force Recon

judy-holding-flag-joe-roberts-signToday we honor all the men and women who have served our great country. Joe Roberts is an example of enourmous stamina, high hopes and loyalty to our American dream. He is a third degree blackbelt in Shorin-Ryu Karate and has the respect of everyone who knows him. We knew him when he was a college student in NYC over 30 years ago. When Joe in his early 20′s decided to enter the USMC, we were shocked as he was an aspiring artist. We were further shocked when he was accepted into an elte branch of the Marines, Force Recon. Over his years of active duty he carried his karate training with him and inspired his fellow service men. Now he lives in Kansas City and is employed in the medical field. He is still works his karate he is still an artist. In his free time, Joe has developed a new talent of singing and guitar playing. Joe is our hero. We are honored to be a part of his history and  we wish him and all American Veterans respect for their courage and desire to serve. Respectfully submitted, Judy Barnhart
