Karate Sign “leaps out” at you!

Entrance to the karate school. We live right next door on purpose to be here 24 and 7. It's a beautiful lifestyle we have created. "Karate is a lifetime marathon". Nagamine

Our KARATE sign lights up at night,it’s big and bold but where did it come from?  “Everything about this corner property has a story” says Sensei Judy, the owner of the school. She says she prefers to keep moving forward and not talk about the past but she weakened with a little story about the big KARATE sign.

“Over twenty years ago”, Sensei Judy said, “one of our students, at the time Force Recon Marine, a man’s man, wanted to give back to his Sensei (Robert Scaglione). He claims Shorin-Ryu Karate gave him strength to overcome adversity and a feeling of calm when chaos was everywhere. He now lives in Kansas City, with his family and we still maintain a connection. I feel the sign brought us good luck over the years and good luck as we move forward! We are forever appreciative. We will never forget Joe Roberts and his magnanimous gift.”
