After the star of class meditation, we do the warm ups and then push ups, followed by cross decks and then kata and finally we end with partner exercises.
The class ends with a cool down of stretches and then once again sit in the stillness. From beginning to end, the entire workout is either a moving or a sitting meditation.
The good news is: Anyone, not just Bruce Lee types, can do karate and enjoy the wonder of moving meditation. We don’t participate in tournaments. In our karate school the only person you compete with is yourself.
