Every January, at the Okinawan Karate Dojo, located at 1755 S. Tropical Trail, Merritt Island, we enjoy the animal of the week. We recall first hand observations of how an animal is built and how this animal would defend itself. We exchange ideas on how we see/think/feel about this animal, just like how karate evolved in China in the Shaolin Temple. Next a short discussion and then we “become” the animal using our collective observations…one by one and apply these to karate basics! What fun!
This week we will talk about the possum pictured above. We inadvertently trapped one last week. Ryan and Mary Anne pictured in photo above. The possum was caught in the back yard and soon after brought to an animal sanctuary!
